Chaminade Represents Beads of the Living Rosary

The Faith That We Continue To Have Will Eventually Become An Eternal Flame For As Long As We Pray Together

Chaminade community hosts Living Rosary, during the month of May, in honour of our holy Mother Mary.

A Living Rosary is a holy service where people are used to represent each bead of the rosary. Each person participating in the service is required to recite one prayer of the rosary; depending on the bead that is given or chosen. The annual Living Rosary ceremony was held on May 15th and was orchestrated by Ms. Achong and Ms. Pasquini. The outcome of this religious event was achieving a beautiful evening of communal prayer.

The Living Rosary is accessible to all staff, students, alumni, parents, and the rest of the Chaminade community. The holy ceremony is located in the common room at Chaminade college school, just right of the main entrance.

Folks say, “a family that eats together, stays together”. This is very true as “a family that prays together, stays together”, as stated by Ms. Pasquini. The underpinnings of statements like these are that families/groups who actively engage with one another, and participate in rituals, can share a sense of togetherness that creates an everlasting bond.

The participants physically create a Rosary and pray together, accompanied by liturgical music. This is a non-profitable event; however, rosaries have been donated in thanks for a greatly organized religious ceremony.
