Junior Volleyball Team

    From February to May, it was that time of the year again: volleyball season at Chaminade.

 

    The Gryphons had a decent season this year that ended with a mediocre record. Though they battled hard this season and managed to get a playoff berth. Their season ended early in the first round with an upsetting loss to John Vanier Catholic secondary school.

 

    The team’s biggest highlight this season was the huge comeback in the second set to John Paul II at the Marshall McLuhan tournament which led the game to go to an extra set. Another main highlight this season was the home opener against St.Basil Catholic secondary school which was a huge win as the Gryphons swept them 3-0 in sets.

 

    Despite the disappointing end to the season the boys played their hearts out and gained some important experience. This team certainly has a bright future with many grade nines full of potential most likely returning next year. Surely, they will bounce back and maybe win it all next season.
